National Alpaca Farm Days 2021!

February 09, 2023 3 min read

We are sooo looking forward to National Alpaca Farm Days which will be held this year on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25-26.

One reason is because hopefully it will be much cooler! Secondly, hopefully we won't all be wearing masks again!

Most of all, we will get to visit with all of you once again. We've kind of added to our herd since last year. We purchased a herd of 35 alpacas from a farm outside of Richmond in April and ended up having 7 babies this spring (baby alpacas are called "crias"), 5 girls and 2 boys!

The nicer weather is bringing more visitors out to the farm, and we’re busy getting ready for our shearing day event. With the additional traffic, we’ve been keeping the farm store stocked and welcoming for our guests.

With that in mind, we wanted to share with you our list of the Top 10 Pacabella spa products you need in your spring farm store inventory.

** NOTE: Be sure to login with your wholesale account to see products and pricing. Don’t have one? Begin the registration process.

  1. Felted soap with OUR fiber >> We use the fiber from our alpacas and an age-old natural process to “felt” the fiber to the bar of soap. Our soap is made with certified organic materials, essential oils, an all-natural base and moisturizing elements. Plus it’s triple milled, making it a very long-lasting bar of soap. Your customers will love our six fragrances, and we offer this beautiful display box that holds 16 soaps.

  1. Felted soap with YOUR fiber >> Yes!! We’re so excited to offer this service. We know how cool it is to tell your customers that a product is made with the fiber from YOUR alpacas. You can tell the kids “... you know the fiber from the alpacas you were just feeding and petting is felted onto this bar of soap! Isn’t that crazy? And it will make your skin so clean and soft!”

  1. Botanic body butter >> A recent visitor to our farm store fell in love with this product. The rich blend of shea butter, cocoa butter and botanical oils instantly absorb into your skin, without being greasy or oily. Available in four fresh fragrances.

  1. Beeswax lip balm >> Our lip balm is paraben and gluten free and is not scented or flavored. Set it by your register, because at this price point it’s the perfect product for customers who just want a little something.

  1. Luxurious lotions >> Put out a tester bottle of our shea butter lotion for customers to try. Once they try it, they will want to buy it! By popular demand, we’re happy to be able to offer our new 16 oz. size.

  1. Hand and body wash >> We’re offering this product in a new 16 oz. size, as well. Your customers can use it as a hand and body wash, a shampoo, even a bubble bath!

  1. Mini lotions and body wash >> Sell our 2 oz. lotions and washes individually or in gift sets with other products. Your customers will enjoy having their favorite spa items in an easy-to-carry size.

  1. Herbal bath grains >> The natural herbs in our bath grains will soften bath water with our clean, refreshing scent.

  1. Beechwood soap trays >> These pretty trays are the perfect size for Pacabella felted soaps. The trays allow for complete drainage, so soap bars last longer. The best part is that they come in a resealable glossy bag. Open it up, pop in a felted soap and you have an instant gift set!

  1. Did we mention felted soap? Truly, if you haven’t sold felted soap in your farm store, we encourage you to give it a try. It’s such a distinctive product, and customers enjoy taking just a little bit of ‘paca home with them. The bars felted with our fiber come in sets as small as three, so you can order a couple of scents to test them in your store without making a large investment. (When you realize how much your customers love them, come back for our display box with 16 soaps.)

If you have any questions about our products or how to get started as a wholesale customer, please get in touch. You can email us at info@pacabella.com or give us a call at 540-890-8364.

Good luck setting up your farm store, and happy spring!

P.S. We’d love to see a picture of your store decked out for spring. Please share it with us on Facebook.

Did you know alpaca fiber is hypoallergenic? The fine nature of alpaca fiber gives alpaca clothing a superior softness against your skin. The fiber is not prickly and does not heat you up like wool. Because alpaca fiber has a hollow core, it is a breathable fabric so even when you get inside from the cold, your alpaca clothing will remain comfortable to wear.
