These shawls are commonly worn by both women and men as an outerwear layer for trekking in the Himalayan foothills. With that knowledge, and looking at the picture I anticipated this shawl to have a slightly “rough” texture – wrong! Handwoven by a network of artisans’ cooperatives in Peru with a unique blend of undyed baby alpaca, undyed linen, & cotton – it is soft, warm and cozy!
The main center of the shawl is solid, with geometric border pattern adorning both ends. Simply great tossed over your shoulders with a pair of jeans or dress it up for an evening out!
